As the great man's guest must produce his good stories or songs at the evening banquet, as the platform orator exhibits his telling facts at mid-day, so the journalist lies under the stern obligation of extemporizing his lucid views, leading ideas, and nutshell truths for the breakfast table.

Tranmere home 1st November

We managed to keep 11 men this time, and finished 1 - 0 up.

Close game and I think many of our players were tired after lots of matches recently.

Tranmere include two recent ex-Dons, Gareth Edds and Ben Chorley, both popular players here in their time. The Cowshed gave them a decent welcome, which is nice.

Poor Edds shot over the bar from a few yards out - one of those easier-to-score-than-miss chances - right in front of the Cowshed, who struck up with 'Eddsy, Eddsy, your a Don'!
